Sir, I respectfully disagree with you about the use of the word, "thug."

I presume that you are aware of the derivation of the word so I will not belabor you - and very definitely bore you - with that discussion.

Instead, I will simply note that when one is acting in a silly way we typically call that person silly. To me, it follows that when one is acting in a thuggish way we should call that person a thug.

I presume that you have a word that you would offer to use in replacement of "thug" but I do not recall you offering that replacement. If I missed it, I apologize but I still think that if someone is acting in a thuggish manner it is appropriate to call them a thug.

I take from your commentary that you believe that once someone is called a thug that society simply gives up on them. As a Christian, you should not give up on that person and should argue loudly if someone else does attempt to give up on that particular thug.

Remember, we all have the capability of redemption but we have to seek it. It is said that words matter and I agree with that. To call someone a thug SHOULD cause the object of that descriptive pain because he/she has brought that pain on themselves but it should cause some self reflection for that person to determine why they have earned that label.

So, again, as a Christian, never forget redemption but do not give a free pass to someone who is acting in a thuggish manner by refusing to call them what they are.

Some right wing freeeks will claim gun violence is gang violence using stolen, smuggled hand guns from the USA.

NONSENSE.

Everybody knows it's DUCK HUNTERS. Mendincino said so. If the Feds spend another 2-3-4? BILLION dollars buy up all the hunting rifles there won't be any more gun crime. Medecino said so.
